Our mission

We have created a new ex vivo skin testing platform that we believe is the most effective way to maintain skin in culture. While scientifically we have come a long way in developing new types of 3D skin models and systems that aim to mimic human skin, fundamentally, there are still limitations. Many in vitro skin tests are only 60-80% accurate and often require a number of combined tests to increase accuracy above 95%. We strive to resolve the limitations of current regulatory standards.

How we got here

Our in vitro human skin testing technology has been accelerated through winning a number of prestigious awards. In June 2018 we joined cohort 1 of the MedTech SuperConnector scheme funded by Research England. We then won a Life Sciences Initiative award in February 2019 from Queen Mary University of London. Keratify is now the recipient of an Innovate UK Smart Grant, considered one of the most competitive funding awards.
